172 companies were officially recognized as biotech companies by MOEA in 2022. This recognition paves way for incentives like tax credits, R&D expenses, subsidies, and investments by shareholders, hence improving the pharmaceutical and biotech sector in Taiwan.
Taiwan has a prosperous biotech sector and is well positioned as the transport hub betwen Northeast and Southeast Asia.
