Several contract research organizations in Ukraine offer clinical research services to the pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Key CROs include Pharmaxi, Cromos Pharma, ICON, and Proxima Research International.
Ukraine still remains a big force in clinical trials despite the wars. Though the number of clinical trials have declined from 200 trials in the years before the war (up to 300 in 2021), to just about 40 in 2024.
In the area of oncology, Ukraine has the second highest clinical trial participation in 2022, second only to India.
The State Expert Centre is the authority that regulates all clinical trials in Ukraine.
