Mauritius offer incentives to potential investors in the pharmaceutical sectors, and they include a tax holiday of eight years, a 3% corporate tax on profits derived from exports, an investment tax credit for investment in hi-tech manufacturing, and air- and sea-freight rebates on exports for new companies.
The country is also a member of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), ensuring all exports to these countries have duty-free access when the rules of origin are met.
