List of Accredited Universities Offering Pharmacy Programme in Nigeria (2024)

Pharmacy is one of the most sought-after courses in Nigeria, with many prospective candidates aiming to get admission to study the course in Nigeria tertiary schools. It is good for any candidate to know all the accredited universities offering pharmacy in Nigeria and choose from them only.

Recently, there has been a surge in the establishment of private tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The National University Commission (NUC), the body regulating tertiary education in Nigeria, has always done its best to publish schools that are accredited and approved to undertake some courses.

It is pertinent to any candidate who is applying to any university to study pharmacy to verify if the institution is fully accredited. Even if the NUC has granted accreditation to a school, make sure your course of study is fully accredited. Furthermore, make sure that if they have been accredited before, they still retain that privilege before you apply.

In addition to NUC, the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) is also another major body regulating pharmacy education in Nigeria. They reserve the right to strip any school of its pharmacy accreditation if it does not meet their basic requirements, such as poor infrastructure, laboratory equipment, quality of staff, and a conducive learning environment.
